Exodus 4:13-14a But Moses said, “O Lord, please send someone else to do it” Then the Lord’s anger burned against Moses.
Moses was looking for the easy way out. He was unwilling to be the Lord’s servant and allow himself to be used as a tool in God’s plan. He found an excuse and stuck to it which angered the Lord.
We so often are guilty of the same sin as Moses. I to often have uttered the words “Lord not me, send someone else”. It is so easy to find excuses from self-doubt like Moses or pure laziness. It is easy to become self conscious of weakness or overwhelmed with our schedule. The truth of the matter is that it angers God! We must listen and trust God that if it is His calling for our lives he will provide the resources, strength, time etc… to complete His plan. It is not our job to work out the legistics it is our job to trust and obey!
Lord, forgive me for the times I have angered you by my unwillingness to trust and obey your calling. Help me to hear your still small voice and be obident to you. Use me in your master plan, I am willing and you are able!
Genesis 15:1a & 2 I will sing to the Lord for he is highly exalted. The Lord is my strength and my song; He has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise Him, my father’s God, and I will exalt him.
