#homeschool Week One!

This week in our homeschooling…
We had a great first week back at school. It went easier than I had anticipated. We quickly found a routine and schedule and have been able to stick with it. I am so proud at how fast they are learning. This weeks Bible verse was the entire Lord’s Prayer. I was doubtful that they would get it in just a week since they are 3&4, but they did and can recite it perfectly! I’m so excited for their progress and they are having a great time.

In my life this week…
My husband got a bug earlier in the week and now it seems to have passed to me. I woke up this morning feeling ill. Please pray for me as it isn’t easy to school when you are not feeling up to par. However taking the day off usually ends up in the kids being bored and having more drama.

I have found that homeschooling has taken more time from my day than expected and my house is in desperate need of a maid! But since I’m all I got, I am glad to have a three day weekend to try and catch up! My Bible in 90 days reading has taken a little hit also and I have fallen two days behind.  Hopefully I will be able to catch that up also!

Praying for this week…
Our families health, I hope this bug doesn’t get to the kids!
A recent tragedy in my town that claimed the life of a young mother of four. It also separated a father from his children. Pray for the families affected, forgiveness and healing.

  1. Homeschooling, a day care and a sick hubby and self. I am surprised you can even see your floors or have clothes to wear. That would be enough to stop my laundry and sweeping efforts. Good for you for keeping up with so much and knowing to let some things go. Hope you’re better soon.

  2. Praying alongside your prayer request! Yes, I am also wondering how to incorporate house work in the midst of school and my work, and not all go crazy ’cause I don’t get a minute to myself. But, that’s the type of thing we take on when we decide to become homeschoolers! No shipping ’em off to school every day so that we get a break, right? Haha!
