I saw among the simple, I noticed among the young men, a youth who had no sense.
He looked around and noticed that the future generation was not following God’s instructions or his own. He saw foolishness and ignorance.
Like many, one of my hobbies is people watching (so is yours just admit it!). As I take notice of younger generations I think to myself “Have they no common sense” as did probably the generations above me thought of mine. The youth lack discipline, respect for others, etc… but then I get a glimpse of some really good kids. We often quickly jump to stereo type the future generations instead of just looking at what they see through their lens. We all have a different way of going about things. It doesn’t matter what you wear, the beat of the music you listen to, etc… As long as you are following God’s instructions and calling for your life.
On the other hand, the future generations will repeat and follow our paths and footstep. They learn from us. If we are living and acting like we have no sense, they will have a skewed sense of right and wrong. They calibrate their moral compass off of ours. Is yours pointing the right direction?
Lord please help me to accept those different than I. Help me to look past outward appearance and look at what you see in those around me. Lord, help me align my compass with your that the future generations will turn to you and follow in your ways.
