Day 7 Look over your schedule for the rest of the month. Stop and be sure that you are being intentional with your time and not just being pulled in a million directions. Ask the Lord to show you what plans to keep and which ones to amend, if any.
With all the hustle and bustle of the season it is often easy to find ourselves getting a “Grinch” attitude. Not because we don’t LOVE Christmas time but because we are mentally and physically exhausted. We find ourselves short tempered and snapping at the ones we hold dear and love. We run around trying to make sure everything is perfect, the presents, the decorations, the food, etc… We don’t slow down and just enjoy being together and celebrating the birth of our Savior.
Think about it for a second. When the Shepard’s went to celebrate the birth of Jesus they didn’t go decorate their houses and make lots of food. They just humbly went! All the symbols of Christmas are nice and important, but, make sure that they are not what make your Christmas special. Keep the reason for the season #1. Keep Christ in your Christmas this year by taking time to draw near to him, the Savior of the world.
