Homeschool Weekly Wrap-up: I Want My Messy House Back!!!!

Link-up with other HS bloggers @

In our homeschool this week…
Well, not much excitement here. We did have lessons on Monday and Tuesday, but used Wednesday as packing day. My older two girls left on Thursday with my Mom & Dad for vacation leaving me with just the baby! They went to Branson Mo and will return home Sunday night. On their agenda is Silver Dollar City, Table Rock Lake, Dixie Stampede, The Butterfly Palace and much more. All that counts as school days right! ha ha

In my life this week…
Due to the older ones being gone and not having to have “School Time” I was able to get a lot accomplished yesterday. I sorted clothes into donation piles, clean some, relaxed much and got caught up on some other odds and ends things. It was nice to only have to chase one little one but it was eerily calm and quiet! I have now decided that I want my messy house back!!!!! Don’t get me wrong I enjoy the break but it is foreign to me! ha ha

Things I am reading…’
I began the Proverbs 31 bible study through and with Erica @
I am really enjoying it! I have been accustomed to spending time daily in the word but have now challenged myself to begin my day in the word. To meet this challenge I have modified my usually routine and cut out the morning news and replaced it with the word. It is refreshing but I also feel a little lost about what is going on in the world around me. (but that is kinda nice too!)

I hope you have had an eventful and blessed week!

  1. I had to LOL because I’m the same way when my oldest kids spend time with their grandparents! It’s great the first to day to catch up on things…but then it feels weird that night and boring the next day! LOL And this year my YOUNGEST is probably at a point where he’ll be fine with heading off with the older ones to their grandparents without me for a visit. What will I do without ANY kiddos at home for a week?! I’ll be totally lost! LOL

  2. I still have a little while before my little one goes on extended trips. She is only 1 1/2. I also think it is good the older ones can go explore with out having to worry about what the little one can/cannot do! Thanks for stopping by!
