She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands.
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.
Work with eager hands. Do whatever it takes to make sure your family is clothed and taken care of. Don’t do what will just get you by, do your best! Have joy and be thankful as you preform your tasks. Work from the heart for your real Master, for God, confident that your reward will be paid in full when you come into His kingdom. Keep in mind always the ultimate Master you are serving is Christ!
The area of “housework” is not one that I necessarily have an issue with. I work with eager hands to make sure that my family is taken care of. My problem lies in this, I don’t always have the best attitude while doing it. Especially when it feels like I have “slaved” all day over cleaning, cooking, laundry, etc… and I turn around to griping or ungratefulness. I must remember that just because it is a priority to me doesn’t mean that it is to everyone. I also must remember that whatever I do I must work at it with all my heart, as if I was working for the Lord, not man!
Lord, help me to remember that I am ultimately working for you. Help me to choose an attitude of gratefulness and joy. Help me to approach my tasks with eagerness and not put them off. Amen
