In Our Homeschool This Week…

We finally got the summer heat wave and let me tell you, It’s Getting Hot In Here!!!!! With that being said, we have tried our best to stay inside this week with the temps being 100 + every day. We did venture out occasionally to make sure all the animals were staying cool and watered.

Monday we did our worksheets and reading in the daytime. Then had Audrey’s last T-Ball game in the evening. She was so excited to get her trophy! After here game we went for ice cream to cool off and celebrate!

In Our Lives This Week…

Monday I received a call from my doctor concerning my new medication. I was informed that the process that I was told would take a minimum of 1 month to get through and receive my medication went through 1st time and that it was being sent to me free of charge. I received it Tuesday and have started it. It will be 3 weeks before I see any results and 3 months before I see the total results. You can read more about that here.

I also wanted to share photos from the girls plane ride last Saturday. I shared last week that they were going with my Mom and Dad to his company picnic and they had a blast!

They wanted their picture taken next to the plane Daddy used to work on.

  1. I love your family photos in the banner! Are those new? Wonderful!

Oh, I’m not sure I could live were temperatures were that high! LOL I don’t like anything near the 90s! Fortunately we don’t get many of those here in Maine! LOL

    • We had them taken a few weeks ago before we cut hay at my mom and dad’s place. I wanted pictures taken in the field I used to play in and by our old barn. My sister-in-law is a photographer and does a fantastic job. It is sure hot but we manage!!! Thanks for stopping by!

  2. Looks like you made the best of the hot weather this week! Ours has been the same with 100+ degree heat almost every day. Love the photo of the girls cooking together:)

Zucchini chips? Sounds like a yumy way to use all my zucchini:)

  3. It has been SO hot here, in PA, too! Congrats to your girls on their trophies! I am going to take a look at your July 4th crafts post. I have a couple of ideas for some for my kiddos to do next Monday and Tuesday. Your husband works on airplanes? My 14 year old loves everything having to do with flight and planes. He recently joined the Civil Air Patrol, as well. 🙂 I hope you have a good weekend! Keep cool! Many blessings, Lisa

    • He used to he actually does research and development for John Deer products now but my Dad still work for Cessna. I used to work there also in health and safety before I became a SAHM. We make the single engine airplanes here in Independence and the Citation Mustang. I remember having the Civil Air Patrol cadets here every summer to take a tour and hang out for a week. That was always fun! Thanks for stopping by and keep cool also!
