I May Be Many Things, But…

Psalm 46: 1-5

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth gives way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells. God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day.

(The Message)

God is a safe place to hide, ready to help when we need him. We stand fearless at the cliff-edge of doom, courageous in sea storm and earthquake, before the rush and roar of oceans, the tremors that shift mountains. The Jacob-wrestling God fights for us, The God-of-Angel-Armies protects us. River fountains splash joy, cooling God’s city, this sacred haunt of the Most High. God lives here, the streets are safe, God at your service from crack of dawn.

I may be many things, But one thing that I am NOT is defeated. Why? Because of these verses here. I serve the Most High God who can overcome any adversity that the world hurls at me! I know that no matter what road He leads me down that He is right there with me if I follow His leading. He will never give me more than I am able to bare, He might let me bend but He will NOT let me break! He is my strength and ever present help in times of struggle. He is my Redeemer, Comforter, Refuge, Savior & Friend! Hallelujah to Him be all glory, honor and praise now and forever.

If you are a regular reader, you are familiar with the adversity I (and my family) have been facing with health struggles. Last week my daughter and I both had visits to our specialists. I praise God for the good report that my daughter received. Her scans all looked remarkably better and the doctor seemed to think that a dosage change in her meds would bring her the rest of the way to recovery. If she stays infection free for three months she will be able to stop taking her antibiotic. This is a huge step in the right direction!

My doctor’s appointment went well also. I received some sobering news but have come to terms with it and know that God is bigger! He will supply me with peace and I trust in Him. I was prescribed a medication which would help control my disease and allow me to live a higher quality of life. It is a very costly medication, however, the company is really good about working with its patients. I was given the time frame estimation of 1 month before receiving the medication. I went and did some pre-testing and was waiting to hear back about the results. Early yesterday morning I received a call from a third party representing both the drug company and my insurance. To my shock I was approved 1st time and the out-of-pocket patient responsibility is being covered 100% from the drug company. Even more my medication will arrive TODAY!!!!!! I am moved to tears about how good our God is! I put full faith in Him and He has and will continue to provide!

Praise God, from Whom all blessings flow;
Praise Him, all creatures here below;
Praise Him above, ye heavenly host;
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

Lord, I give you all the praise, honor and glory. Thank you for providing for our needs. Help us to see past the things of this world and to your kingdom. Help us to always yield to you and your leading. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! Amen

Here is my current theme song!!!
