‘Tis So Sweet to Trust In Jesus

Scripture:

Psalms 37:3

Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.

Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight.

Philippians 4:19

And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.

Observation:

Get insurance with God and do good deeds, settle down and enjoy what He has planned for you.

Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don’t try to figure out everything on your own.

You can be sure that God will take care of everything you need, his generosity exceeding even yours in the glory that pours from Jesus.

Application:

Have you ever heard the old hymn ‘Tis So Sweet To Trust In Jesus? If not it is defiantly worth looking up. It is all about the peace and assurance we get when we let go of the worry and whole heartedly trust and rely on Him.

We serve a God who is more than faithful to take care of even the lost sheep of his flock, let alone those who are following. How much more proof do we need then the fact that he sent his son Jesus as payment for our transgressions? He is and always will be faithful.

When we learn to fully trust him he will give us peace even in the midst of a storm. We can rest upon His promises and simply take him at his word.  It is not his will for us to know and understand every reason behind every circumstance. We just don’t need to know! But we do need trust him and yield to him. He will take care of us above and beyond anything we can ever know or imagine.

I like how the message says to get insurance from God! Isn’t that the truth! Stop putting chances down on handling everything yourself and get you insurance policy with him! Let go and let God do his job! Then and only then will you have peace!

Prayer:

Lord, help us to be faithful as you are faithful. Help us to relinquish complete control to you and let go of the things we are holding back. I praise you for giving us your peace. Amen
