Weekly Wrap-Up: And The Rockets Red Glare!

Come Link-Up With Us @ HSMJ!

This Week In Our Homeschool…
Nothing! Hubby was off work for the week so we mostly played and got caught up on somethings around the house. We did re-organize and re-arrange the “class room” (also known as our dining room)! We took down our old computer and set it up for the kids and an old t.v. to play their V-Smile educational games on.

Today we are working with some of the In-A-Bag activities that I wrote about last week. So we will do 1 official school day this week! ha ha
In Our Lives This Week…
This is where the real fun happened this week! My husband works part-time for a fireworks company (Jake’s Fireworks / World Class Fireworks) by helping sell during the holiday. He does this mostly be cause he is an avid fireworks lover! (To the point that it crosses the obsessed line and borders on hoarder! ha ha) This year he worked hard to build an electric fireing panel so that at the flip of a switch he could launch a barrage of fireworks. Needless to say our house was loud and proud on the 4th. It gave new meaning to “And the rockets red glare; the bombs bursting in air” ha ha!

I have started to notice a slight difference in my health issues which means the medicine is starting to take affect! My pain is less during the day but not yet at night, but, praise God for the little things! Also my psoriasis is letting up a bit! I know that this is just the beginning and that with more time the benefits will increase. It was suppose to take 3 weeks to begin to help and it has only been 2. It will be 75% after 3 months and 90% + after 9 months. I am so thankful and praise God each day that he is holding my hand and helping along the way! He is the ultimate healer and he will choose when and how to heal!
Thanks for stopping by! I look forward to reading about your week. Blessings to all!

  1. Wow, the fireworks display was so awesome! That is really impressive. 🙂 And I just love the back of your t-shirt, lol. Sounds like it was a terrific holiday at your house. I am thanking God with you for the improvements in your health. I will continue to keep you in my prayers. I hope you have a good weekend. Many blessings, Lisa

  2. Oh, wow! Better fireworks by your hubby than what our town put on! LOL Actually, we didn’t go this year because a thunderstorm passed through and we decided not to bother. They did still have them. But he did a great job! Purchase of fireworks only became legal in Maine this year.

So glad to read that you’re feeling better!
