We started off the week with a sick child. I was so sad for her because she missed the Christmas Program at church. But Alyssa was still able to participate.
The musical was “Hope Of A Broken World” and it was so fitting to all that is going on around us right now. We truly live in a broken world and the only hope that we have is through Christ Jesus. I fell in love with one of the songs and wrote about that in my Advent study. You can read that here.
We have continued on with “Truth In The Tinsel”. We only have 3 more days to go. I can say it enough how much we have enjoyed this study! Here is my favorite ornament from the week!
We have also been like little elves making homemade gifts this week. I made my hubby a special gift of “12 month’s of date nights”. You can find the “How To” here including free printables!

The Girls made salt dough ornaments to give to special loved ones. They had such a good time making them and of course nothing is complete without gobs of glitter! Here is our recipe!
Today we are making applesauce and cinnamon ornaments. I love that sweet and spicy smell!!!
We took and evening and went caroling at some local nursing homes. The girls loved singing and the residents seemed to enjoy the extra company!
We have one more day of school this week then off for Christmas Break! Audrey has one day of catch up to do next week since she was ill Monday but with daddy home I’m sure we will have enough fun to counter balance that!
I hope that this week has found you happy, healthy and full of cheer! Have a Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year!
