Salt Dough Christmas Ornaments

Audrey & Alyssa showing off their creations!

Nothing says Merry Christmas like homemade crafts. My children love making special gifts for loved ones. It makes them feel that same giving spirit that we as adults often take for granted. Yesterday we spend the afternoon with our crafty hats on and ended the day covered in paint, glue & glitter… A sure sign of a great day around here at the Hoggatt Homeschool!

Stars and trees can never be complete without glitter!

Salt Dough Christmas Ornaments
Here’s the how to…
2 c. all purpose flour
1 c. salt
1 c. water

Mix dry ingredients together. Then slowly add water. After mixing well (I threw out the spoon and dug in with my hands, much easier) you should end up with a lump of non-sticky dough. Roll out to 1/4 in thick and cut out desired shapes. You can also hand form designs. Bake at 325 degrees on cookie sheet for 30 min or until dry and hardened.

When cooled paint and decorate as desired!
