Weekly Wrap – Up: Donkey Rides and Music Practice

In our lives this week…
We had some great days! We were able to spend some time at my parents house and the girls rode their donkey for the first time. I also had my camera so I finally got some shots of the donkey and them!

Audrey finished her art project that she was working on last week…She did a great job and I’m so proud of her and how she uses the gifts that God has given her. She choose Psalm 113:3 as her inspiration verse for this piece. “From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets, the name of the Lord is to be praised.” I think she is so very talented for only being 6 yrs old but I guess I’m partial since I’m Mama! haha
We also studied nutrition in our Human Body science this week. We did lots of fun activities, one of them was sorting food items into categories by food group. You can read more about our nutrition study here.
To go along with that study we read “Stone Soup” and then the girls helped make it for supper! Which was this week’s recipe of the week!
Places we are going…
Tomorrow we will be traveling to another church on our district to allow our children to participate in the annual “KidsFest”. This is a time that kids are encouraged to use their God given talents to worship and praise him. Audrey and Alyssa have both entered their art projects, a vocal solo and are participating in the children’s choir from our church.
They both had an opportunity to share their solos at church last Sunday night and did a great job!
I hope you all had a great week and I wish you many blessings for the week to come! Thanks for stopping by!!

  1. Wow! Their solos are wonderful! 🙂 Looks like a great week. The riding on the donkeys must have been so fun. The projects look awesome, too. I just love good, hands-on learning! Have a great weekend, friend! Many blessings, Lisa 🙂
