Operation Christmas Child

It’s almost time for National collection week for Operation Christmas Child! Don’t miss out!!!!

I’m challenging you to get involved and join the fun!

Comment below on how many boxes your family puts together!
What is Operation Christmas Child?

The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to needy children around the world, and together with the local church worldwide, to share the Good News of Jesus Christ. One way that this happens is through a gift from people just like you and I. It is simple, you pack a shoe box (or similar sized box) with toys and other personal use items. The box then gets labeled and sent to a child in need.

Since 1993, more than 100 million boys and girls in over 130 countries have experienced God’s love through the power of simple shoebox gifts from Operation Christmas Child. Samaritan’s Purse works with local churches and ministry partners to deliver the gifts and share the life-changing Good News of Jesus Christ.
How can you help?

What’s in a box?
We put small toys, writing and art supplies, tooth brush and tooth paste, bar soap, candy, flashlight and batteries, wipes and tissues and much more. Find out other suggestions here.
The girls then wrote notes and drew pictures for the child that will receive the box.

How Do I Send My Box?
You can print off labels and further instructions on-line. You can also pay on-line and print off a selected label that will allow you to track your box and see where it went. Next, find a drop site near you. There are many sites listed on the website.
With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints. (Ephesians 6:18, NASB)
Pray for each child that receives a box, for the volunteers that pack and deliver the boxes and the entire process. Pray that the goal of 9.8 million boxes will be meet. Each child, parents and village that receive boxes have the opportunity to hear the good news of Jesus Christ. Pray that their eyes, ears and heart will be open to the message.
Spread the word about Operation Christmas Child. Get you friends, relatives, neighbors and church involved in this great gift!
